At a rally for the abductees still in Gaza on Tuesday, 85-year-old Yocheved Lifshitz, who until recently herself was among those held captive by Hamas, was present. Her husband, Oded, is still in captivity.
One of the abductees said Sinwar met them in the tunnels and said nothing bad would happen to them. Later, Lifshitz told the Davar website that she was present at the meeting with the Hamas leader: "Sinwar was with us 4-3 days after we arrived."

Lifshitz says she was furious with him during his visit: "I asked him how he wasn't ashamed to do something like this to people who had supported peace all these years? He didn't answer. Shut up."
Yocheved Lifshitz was abducted from Kibbutz Nir Oz in a Hamas invasion on October 7. Two and a half weeks later, she was released from Hamas captivity, together with Nurit Cooper. The day after her release, she attended a press conference that was somewhat controversial, and spoke about everything she went through in Hamas captivity.
