David Morel, a civilian security guard, was seriously wounded in the attack and two Border Police officers sustained minor injuries. The terrorist fled on foot into the Shuafat refugee camp. The driver who drove the terrorist later turned himself in to the police, and during interrogation said he was on his way to intelligence.

Terrorist Uday Tamimi attempted another attack on October 19 in Ma'ale Adumim, where he was killed by security guards.

A tourist from Britain was murdered in the attack, and 38 people were wounded, 3 of them critically. One of the wounded, 14, died of her wounds six years after the attack, while lying unconscious at Shaare Zedek Hospital all these years.
