Billionaire Elon Musk continues his campaign to clear his name after the antisemitic tweet, for which he has already apologized. On Wednesday, he took part in the annual conference of The New York Times where he was asked about his tour of Israel the other Monday, during which he visited the kibbutzim where the October 7 massacre took place.

The interviewer, Andrew Ross Sorkin, questioned on the panel whether Musk's tour was actually an apology tour after he was accused of anti-Semitism and faced a consumer boycott on his social network X (formerly Twitter).

Musk's Twitter posts led major advertisers, including companies like Apple and Disney, to suspend their campaigns on the platform.

Musk replied that the visit to Israel was planned even before the advertiser boycott and said that as far as he was concerned, "they should not advertise. Will someone try to extort with advertising money? Go f***. Is that obvious enough? I hope so."

Elon Musk and the puck,

What was more interesting than what Musk said was the disc he wore during the interview, a disc from the headquarters of the abducted families that read "Our heart is captive in Gaza" that he received on Monday from Malki Shem Tov, the father of 21-year-old Omar, who was kidnapped to Gaza from the party in Re'im. Malki told Elon, "I know you are a very strong person. And I think any support that can make our voice heard to bring the hostages back will be meaningful for all families."

After the visit, Musk tweeted: "Actions speak louder than words." Wearing the disc certainly gives new meaning to actions.
