This was discussed by the Amag group of Alessandria at the meeting organized at the Centro Bellavita in the suburb of Spinetta Marengo. In fact, the group is committed to creating a Renewable Energy Community with the aim of producing, exchanging and consuming energy from renewable sources on a local scale.
"It is an ambitious project that we are carrying out with the Province and the Municipality - explains Emanuele Rava, to Amag - We are waiting for the implementing decrees from the Ministry".
In the meantime, the biomass power plant in the Aurara region has been started. With about 2,600 tons of foliage, greenery and pruning residues, electricity and heat will be produced. First of all, it is used in the group's plants, then the use of any surplus is evaluated. It is estimated that production is equivalent to the needs of about 500 families. "We will also buy a plot of land in Predosa for new wells and a photovoltaic system to power the pumps," Rava adds.
"We are in the period in which households use heating and lighting the most," said Paolo Arrobbio, Energy Market Manager. Investing in community projects can allow for an increase in the level of autonomy and a reduction in costs."
