According to the Upper Bavaria South Police Headquarters, shortly after 28 a.m. on Tuesday (11 November), the Integrated Control Centre Oberland received a report of a burning wooden hut in Osteranger in Königsdorf. When the immediately alerted regional fire brigades arrived, the garbage can house was already on fire and the fire had already spread to a nearby single-family house. The fire brigades were able to quickly bring the fire under control and prevent the fire from advancing further.
Cause of fire: Ash residues are said to have started the fire
Investigators from the Weilheim Criminal Investigation Department took over the investigations into the exact cause of the fire on site. According to previous findings, the fire had spread via the garbage can house to the adjacent building.
