Kissinger, who served under two presidents, Nixon and Ford, was highly influential in U.S. foreign policy for many years and continued to work in the field decades after retiring from public office.
Kissinger won the Nobel Prize in 1973 for his involvement in peace talks between Israel and Arab states after the Yom Kippur War and for his efforts to end the U.S. war in Vietnam.

The cause of death of Kissinger, who died at the age of 100 at his home in Connecticut, has not yet been released.
