Ofra Kedar, 70, was abducted on October 7 while walking in the fields outside her home in Kibbutz Be'eri. Ofra was her mother, grandmother and aunt. Her husband Sammy, who has Parkinson's, was murdered while confined to a couch in their home. Yael, Ofra and Sami's daughter, has special needs and was locked alone in the safe room, saving herself.

Her associates said that Ofra always found a way to make life easier, "Everything is always fine with her," they said. They also said that she was a positive figure in the lives of those around her and that she had been missing every moment since that Shabbat when she was kidnapped.

Ofra loved gardening, swimming in the kibbutz pool, the kibbutz's petting zoo and especially the quiet early morning walks among the orchard trees, the paths she loved so much.
