The family of musician Guy Illouz, who participated in the party in Re'im, was informed yesterday (Thursday) that he was murdered. Guy was first listed as missing and later as kidnapped and his family believed he was alive, but if the bitter news was received, hopes were dashed.
Guy was a sound engineer for the Jewish Band and also worked with Matti Caspi and Shalom Hanoch. He was filmed fleeing the party area on October 7 and managed to talk to his family on his cell phone and report that he had been shot, that he had killed his friend Alon and that he himself was hiding in a tree.

The Metrowest school where Guy studied issued a death notice saying: "It is with deep grief that we announce that Guy Illouz, a graduate of Cohort 7 of Metrowest High School, is not alive.
Guy spent time with hundreds of other innocent people at a party near Kibbutz Reim and was taken prisoner on 10/<> by brutal murderers. For many weeks we hoped and prayed for Guy's return - but today we were informed that he would not return again.
"Guy was a man of love, happiness and laughter. A beloved man who connected with everyone and everyone connected with him. Music accompanied Guy throughout his life and until the day he died. The entire MetroWest community embraces the Illouz family in its difficult hour. Guy is the sixth Metrowest graduate who has lost his life since 7/10. May the memory of Guy be blessed."
