After almost two months of uncertainty, the family of Ron Benjamin (53), who was initially listed as missing, received a definitive message that he had been abducted to Gaza. Binyamin, a resident of Rehovot, arrived in a bicycle car with friends near Kibbutz Be'eri, and when the sirens began, he decided to return. His car, which had bullet marks, was found empty a few days later near a level intersection.

Benjamin is married to Ayelet and the father of Shai (25) and Gil (21). Shai posted in the closed community of "Damaged Dad" on Facebook, writing: "Hey flawed, I'm Shay and I'm probably the first woman to write a post here in your group ever. Before you freak out, I received a special permit from Saar to come here for only 24 hours, to tell you about my defective father, who has been held captive by Hamas for 55 days."

"He sent me recordings of him saying that there were sirens and that he was right on the Gaza envelope and that he didn't know what to do, but one thing he knew and said emphatically 'I'm coming home' He wanted to go home to his family, so he got in the car and started driving north on Route 232, near Kibbutz Levels a squad of terrorists arrested him and from there he was kidnapped."

In the post, Shai talks about her father and writes: "My father is now in Gaza and I need him here. My mother, sister and I are waiting for him. Every day waking up in the morning to this reality breaks us a little more. As fathers, you can only try to imagine your children's pain in such a situation, unfortunately I experience it every day. Help me shout my father's cry and call for his return and the return of all fathers to Israel now!"
