The IRGC announced on Saturday the deaths of two advisers to the Iranian group in Syria. The statement claimed that Israel was responsible for their deaths, but did not explicitly state that they were killed in an attack attributed to it by foreign sources in the Damascus area tonight.
Photos of the Iranian officers posted on social networks indicate that the two fatalities, Mohammad Ali Atai and Taqa Zadeh, were senior IRGC officials with ranks equivalent to brigadier general. According to an IRGC statement, they carried out an "advisory mission" on the Syrian front and were killed by Israel.

During the night, the Syrian army accused Israel of attacking targets in the Damascus area from the air, leading only to destruction. The Syrian army also claimed that the defense systems intercepted most of the missiles. On the other hand, the Syrian opposition reported that two Syrian nationals had worked with Hezbollah, and that the attack focused on sites belonging to the Lebanese terrorist organization. According to reports, the airstrikes focused on sites in the airport area and in the east of the capital.
