According to an "article" published by the network, Israel confiscated dozens of bodies from hospitals in the Gaza Strip • Following the publication, accusations against Israel surfaced on social networks

Euronews, which incorporates news broadcasts in 12 languages and is based in France, published a disgraceful "report" last week accusing Israel of harvesting organs from Palestinians in Gaza.

According to the Euronews article, the allegation of organ theft from the bodies of Gaza residents is attributed to Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, which the article calls a human rights organization. As expected, the article does not provide any basis for the serious accusation and does not even mention by name anyone who raises it. Instead, it claims that the organization's concerns about Israel removing organs from Palestinian bodies are based on "medical officials in Gaza who examined some of the bodies after they were released by the Israelis."

Later in the article, in order to reinforce the seriousness of the matter, it is reported that Israel confiscated dozens of bodies from hospitals in the Gaza Strip, including Shifa'a Hospital and the Indonesian Hospital, and even removed bodies from a mass grave dug about 10 days earlier in the courtyard of Shifa'a Hospital. "Medical officials reportedly found vital organs such as heart, liver and kidneys missing from the bodies," which Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor defined as "evidence" of possible organ theft.

Needless to say, the report does not bring any response from Israel to the serious accusation. Instead, reporter Joshua Askew notes that Israel has been accused of harvesting Palestinian organs in the past, without noting that the previous accusations have been proven to suck from the finger, and even claims that Israel is considered a global center for illegal organ transplant trafficking, in part because "the Jewish religion permits transplants to save lives."

Although this is a "report" that does not meet any journalistic standards, one should not underestimate the potential damage of the accusation, which repeats anti-Semitic motifs of previous blood libels against Jews. Following the Euronews report, posts about "organ harvesting by Israel" circulated on social media networks in various languages.
