On Saturday, a combined Shin Bet and IDF force detained members of the squad suspected of being behind the shooting attack on Route 5 on November 19.
On November 19 a number of terrorists carried out a shooting attack at Israeli vehicles on Road 5, near the a-Zawiya Bridge in the Ephraim Brigade. As a result of the shooting, several vehicles were hit. In addition, several other vehicles were damaged by improvised spikes placed on the road. The incident ended without casualties.
Yesterday's operation follows the arrest of suspected terrorists, which was carried out immediately after the incident, based on intelligence provided by the Shin Bet. The security forces also confiscated the weapons suspected of being used by the terrorists in the attack, including magazines and military equipment.
