His classmates wrote about him: "Assi immigrated to Israel with his parents in 2007 from Ethiopia, he is the eldest son in the family and has 4 younger siblings. Assi studied at the Musinson Youth Village as part of the boarding school, and was a beloved student and friend among his friends, the teaching staff and the boarding school. He always helped and supported his friends. A phrase that Assi believed in and followed: 'Be stronger than your excuse!'"
