Lapid: "Every day the disaster grows and every day the rift widens"
Former Prime Minister and Opposition Leader Yair Lapid at the start of a meeting of the Yesh Atid faction: "Those who failed like this cannot continue. Whoever has the disaster registered in his name and has lost the trust of the security establishment and the trust of the people – let him do the only decent thing possible – let him go. Let others make amends."

"It's time for this government to go home and absolve us of its punishment. "What would Netanyahu say and what would his people say if I were still prime minister on October 7? Do you have even the slightest doubt that he would be standing here right now suing my head on a platter?"
"What would he say if, instead of resigning, instead of leaving, I transferred billions of corrupt shekels of coalition funds to the Knesset this week? Robbers the state treasury. Asked by Israel Hayom about the weapons policy, Lapid replied: "I am not against distributing weapons so that people can defend themselves, as long as it is done according to criteria. It can't be Ben-Gvir's circus. We're not in the Wild West."
