A particularly moving gesture was launched today (Monday) for the purpose of raising global awareness of the return of the abductees from Hamas captivity - the flowering of race pigeons as the number of abductees.

This morning, members of the Race Pigeon Club in Israel, Uri Rosner, who also serves as the club's chairman, and his colleague Menachem Goldberg, arrived at the pigeon blooming point near Kibbutz Be'eri.

Rosner and Goldberg blew the pigeons into the sky in a great spectacle. The race pigeons fly at a dizzying speed of 80-90 kilometers per hour, and after a flight of about two or three hours, each of them returns straight to its own return.

Goldberg explains the goal in a conversation with Israel Hayom, "We came today from all corners of the country, we want to increase awareness with the help of our mail pigeons about the issue of abductees. It's important to say, it's not brutality that happened once, it's happening now, everyone in the world has to go to sleep and wake up knowing that there are people, a few kilometers from here, who can't go home. We pray that these people will find their way home like the pigeons, today, God willing."
