Israel has set up a large system of pumps that it can use to flood Hamas tunnels in Mediterranean waters, U.S. officials told The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday. The goal is to destroy the underground system and force Hamas terrorists to rise to the surface.

According to the report, the pumps were built about a kilometer and a half north of the Shati refugee camp. These are at least five pumps capable of pumping thousands of cubic meters of seawater per hour into the tunnels.
