Hamas equipped its terrorists with maps apparently drawn with inside information about IDF bases, the British Guardian reported on Tuesday, after materials seized in the possession of Hamas terrorists were presented to reporters by the IDF.
According to the newspaper, a map of a military base seized on a terrorist who infiltrated Israel during the events of October 7 contained a detailed listing of a base and military positions apparently made with the help of information provided by a spy. "The map was drawn from inside information, almost certainly from a Hamas spy," an Israeli source said.

According to the report, the map presented to the British newspaper "looked more detailed even than the IDF needed," evidence of the vast amount of information obtained about the base before preparing the map for the terrorists.
The IDF presented the newspaper with a variety of documents, instant computers and phones found in the possession of Hamas terrorists after their infiltration into Israeli territory and in the Gaza Strip. Among the findings that the newspaper was allowed to describe was a phrasebook in Hebrew designed to enable terrorists to communicate with the civilians they abducted. The phrasebook included phrases such as "undress" and "put your hands on your head and open your legs."
According to the newspaper, IDF sources said it was a years-long intelligence effort on the part of Hamas. It was also claimed that laptops and handwritten documents found contained evidence of the planning of parts of Hamas' invading force to attack military sites in central Israel.
