Moshe Redman, one of the most prominent activists in the protest against the legal reform and against the government over the past year, is currently working on establishing a party that will run in the next elections.

Redman and his people rented offices in Tel Aviv, and from there they recruit activists, shoot videos and prepare materials. Redman's party will probably be called "It's time," a slogan he runs in various publications and already uses when he has this inscription behind him during his media interviews.

Redman recently distributed a questionnaire on various WhatsApp groups asking him to vote on the right people for politics. Among the figures: former Deputy Attorney General Dina Zilber, journalist Tomer Avital, high-tech protester Ami Dror and other activists affiliated with the protest.

Alongside the questionnaire, Redman wrote: "A national rehabilitation government? I don't know how feasible this idea is, but it definitely gave me a little more optimism about the future."

Trying to recruit friends

In recent days, Redman has tried to mobilize his friends from the protests against the legal reform to the demonstrations at this time in order to gain public support and momentum, but has run into a wall.

Well-known activists wrote to him in various groups that they believed the demonstrations now "are a huge mistake, and you are playing into the hands of Bibi and the poison machine." It added: "On the day of the order, everyone will come. There is no need now to hold demonstrations that will only do the opposite, and because of them we will lose the crazy opposition that exists on the right to Netanyahu. It only serves an emotional need to shout - we all have such a need but this is not the time, hold back!! We have before us such complex days of the return of the abductees and the unimaginable emotional upheaval of the families. It's completely out of place and inappropriate."

Another activist wrote: "I'm upset that when there was unanimity between us, we went together, and now even though there is – at least in this group – a majority that strongly opposes this path, you go without us and despite what we think. I still think there's a good chance that this move will hurt the goal of replacing this bad government."

In recent interviews, Redman has hinted more at the establishment of the party: "In my mind's eye, I see a situation where in seven or eight weeks, hundreds of thousands are making demands that say, 'We want the government to be replaced immediately and there will be elections,' go to the people."

In another interview, he said: "The public understood that Netanyahu is not going to go. If we sit on the sidelines and let him strengthen his coalition, we will be a year or two in a war and in a government that is plunging us into the abyss."

Redman said in response: "Right now I'm only busy toppling the government, I don't know what will happen next."
