"This is not about establishing a military network of the resistance and it will not carry out a military operation from inside Lebanon," declared Ahmed Abd al-Hadi, Hamas' representative in Lebanon. He said it was a "popular framework" established to enable young Palestinians to join the organization. This is in light of their growing desire in light of the October 7 attacks. He also claimed that the term "resistance" also included other meanings, such as media campaigns and more, besides military action. Al-Hadi also insisted that "this is neither Fatahland nor Hamasland."
