21:30 P.M.: Israel's Ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, in response to the Secretary-General's appeal to the Security Council to call for a "humanitarian" ceasefire in Gaza: "The Secretary-General has reached a new moral low: he boasts that today for the first time he is invoking Article 99 of the UN Charter regarding the war in Gaza – a clause that can only be invoked in a situation where there is a danger to world peace and security."

21:02 p.m.: The Washington Post reported this evening from a senior Israeli intelligence official that some of the 3,000 terrorists who took part in the October 7 attacks had orders to attack military bases as far north as Rehovot and east as far as Beersheba. The American newspaper also reported that Hamas intended to reach two points deep in the Mediterranean, codenamed "103" and "106."

17:30 p.m.: The United States intercepted a drone that took off from Yemen, a senior Pentagon official said. Reuters reports that the vessel took off from the part held by the Houthis.
16:40 P.M.: The Political Security Cabinet will convene this evening in Jerusalem following American pressure to bring more humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip and more fuel.
