Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Galant and IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevy held an assessment of the situation at the Northern Command on Thursday against the backdrop of the murder of a civilian earlier today by a Hezbollah anti-tank missile.
The Northern Command commander, Maj. Gen. Uri Gordin, the command's staff officers and division commanders participated in the assessment. They reviewed the activity of IDF forces in the northern sector and the intelligence and sector situation.

Prime Minister Netanyahu later visited an artillery battery in the Upper Galilee, together with Northern Command Commander Maj. Gen. Uri Gordin, where he spoke with reserve infantry and artillery soldiers serving on the front line on the Lebanese border for the past two months.
Netanyahu said on the battery: "I am here with reservists who show a tremendous spirit of readiness to fight, to complete the job, to restore security - not only to the south, but also to the north. That's our commitment.

"I also suggest to our enemies that they pay attention to this spirit, because if Hezbollah chooses to start an all-out war, then it will single-handedly turn Beirut and southern Lebanon, not far from here, into Gaza and Khan Yunis. We are determined to bring victory, and we will do it with your help."
Earlier, Hezbollah announced that two of its terrorists had been killed while "fulfilling the duty of jihad." This is the old terminology used in the organization. For many days, Hezbollah used a different terminology, according to which the terrorists were killed "on Jerusalem Road," as written about another terrorist about whom an announcement was circulated today.
