The forces of the 98th Division continue to fight in the area of Khan Yunis, considered a main stronghold of the Hamas terrorist organization. The division's fighters eliminated about 130 terrorists in battle, worked to locate and destroy shafts, and directed precise attacks from the ground and air.
The brigade combat team of the 7th Brigade began an offensive to break through Hamas' defense lines, during which they attacked dozens of anti-tank positions and enemy observations. The fighters raided the battalion post of the Deir al-Balah Battalion of the Hamas terrorist organization and located weapons and intelligence.
The forces of the battle team of the Givati Brigade, the 55th Brigade and the 4th Brigade encircle the city and carry out attacks and targeted raids against companies in the Khan Yunis Brigade of the Hamas terrorist organization. In a prolonged raid, large quantities of weapons were found in the school area, including launchers, mortar barrels, RPGs, IEDs and intelligence equipment. Fighters of the 4th Brigade's combat team took over a Hamas headquarters inside a mosque where a terrorist squad was hiding, and the squad was eliminated during the battle. A commando brigade combat team raided Hamas' centers of gravity in Khan Yunis, and weapons and artillery launching barrels and intelligence materials were found in the homes of Hamas terrorist organization operatives and commanders. In addition, the commandos make use of the "Steel Sting" precision missile and direct attacks from the air and from the ground by means of precise fire in combat in a crowded area.
