An active disturbance is moving across most of the country on Saturday, bringing rain and wind. Only the extreme south of the country escapes precipitation. There will be little respite as on Sunday a new Atlantic disturbance will cross a large northwestern half of the country. Temperatures will rise sharply, and will be 4 to 5°C above normal for the season on average, according to La Chaîne Météo*.
A rainy and windy Saturday
A new disturbance will move through the western and northern regions with rain and wind. This disturbance will spare the southernmost regions, namely the Pyrenees, the southern Alps and the Mediterranean. In the afternoon, a lull will occur in the northwest with the return of drier weather. The wind will blow hard in the English Channel with gusts to 80 km/h. In the mountains, the rain-snow line will rise to 1800m in the Alps.
A very mild Sunday, but still hectic
A new disturbance will invade a northwestern half of the country with light to moderate rainfall. It is in the Centre-West and the western foothills of the Massif Central that the rains will be the most sustained. From the eastern borders to the Mediterranean, the weather will be dry and the sun will manage to make beautiful appearances. The warmer will continue with temperatures 4 to 5°C above normal. It will be mild in the morning and afternoon.
