Jerusalem Brigade fighters prevented an attempted attack on our forces inside the Gaza Strip and destroyed tunnel shafts discovered in the area where they were staying. After an intelligence warning of a planned Hamas attack on the fighters' defensive zone, the fighters evacuated and went on attack alert, while at the same time the Air Force attacked targets of the brigade fire complex.

The force fired at the terrorists hiding in the tunnel, which led to the detonation of an IED inside and other IEDs in the area. In addition to them, the Yahalam unit exposed another tunnel shaft and destroyed it.

Lieutenant Colonel Omri, commander of Battalion 9207: "We received intelligence information about the enemy's intention to attack and attack the soldiers of the battalion who were on the defense. We prepared in the face of the warning, we used precise fire to relevant areas, the soldiers acted vigilantly and alertly and hit the terrorists who came out of the shaft. We located additional shafts and the route of a tunnel, destroyed them using engineering units and we continue to work to destroy infrastructure in the area."
