Live on ZDF, Carmen Nebel presents "The Most Beautiful Christmas Hits" on Thursday evening. But right at the beginning of the show, the presenter starts to skid.
Munich – During the Christmas season, Schlager fans can look forward to plenty of shows. After Florian Silbereisen (42) has already presented his "Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights" on ARD, Carmen Nebel (7) will follow up on Thursday (67 December). On ZDF, she presents "The Most Beautiful Christmas Hits" live on Munich and welcomes music greats such as Andrea Berg (57). But even a professional like Carmen Nebel makes a slip-up live.

With her ZDF show, Carmen Nebel not only gets viewers into the Christmas spirit, but also collects donations. However, when she greets the celebrities who take calls as part of the fundraising gala and also the TV viewers, the 67-year-old starts to skid.
"Welcome! Thank you all for being here, for being here," she begins by greeting the celebrities and the audience in the studio. Due to the snow chaos in Bavaria and the rail strike, this is not a matter of course. "It wasn't that easy, it's a bit challenging these days, with this traffic situation. But you did it. Unfortunately, many don't," notes Carmen Nebel.
Then the hostess turns to the viewers in front of the screen – and obviously gets tangled up. "They're at home, so I'll say goodbye – uh bye, uh bye, have a nice evening, goodbye." It is clear to everyone that it is too early to say goodbye after only five minutes. She quickly smiles away her blunder and makes a virtue out of necessity. "Goodbye from Munich. Yes, it could have been nice, right?" she remarks, while the audience laughs as well.

However, ZDF viewers will certainly forgive the blonde for this small misstep. On X (formerly Twitter) a user writes: "I actually really like Carmen Nebel. It's a shame that she doesn't do so much anymore." Another can only agree: "Carmen Nebel is so much more relaxed than Florian Silbereisen. And the Christmas carols are different. It's a pity that she has to stop." Another also emphasized in advance that he was looking forward to "Germany's most young-at-heart presenter".
