Another sixth graduate of Yeshiva Yeruham fell in battle in Gaza: Maj. Gideon Ilani, 35, a resident of the community of Asael, was killed in the past <> hours in battles in Gaza, the IDF Spokesperson confirmed Monday morning. He is survived by his wife, Esther, and six children - Gefen, Maayan, Noam, Hillel, David and Yael.
Yochai Damri, head of the Mount Hebron Council, eulogized him: "The Mount Hebron House shares in the deep sorrow of the Ilani family from the community of Asael, with the death of Maj. Gideon Ilani. The family came to us from Sderot about two years ago. Gideon was a doctoral student in physics, a polymath, a man of values and Zionism, who came here with his family, his wife Esti, who will stand apart for life, a teacher at the Dvir Regional School, and their six children, to plant roots and build a settlement."
"Gideon fell in a heroic battle against Hamas terrorists who sought to cut off the settlement in the envelope and throughout the country.
