The National Security Council published a new map according to which it mapped the countries of the world and classified each of them according to risk level. Risk levels range from 1 to 4, with level 1 being the safest and level 4 being the most dangerous. What does each level say? We'll put you in order.

Level 1 – There are quite a few countries that are included in Classification Level 1, the safest. Among the countries at this level are Romania, Japan, the Czech Republic, South Korea, the United States, Cyprus, Canada, Mexico, most of Thailand, and more. This travel warning level means that normal precautions are recommended, according to the NSC definition. This means that the risk level is the lowest and that high vigilance must be maintained at all times.

At Travel Warning Level 2, there is a very long list of countries, many of them countries that many Israelis fly to, such as Germany, France, Hungary, Austria, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and many other countries. This travel warning means that increased precautions need to be taken. This means staying away from demonstrations against Israel, downplaying Israeli or Jewish symbols, staying away from dangerous areas, and more. Alongside many of the countries in this travel warning level, the NSC website states: "Following the Iron Sword War, there has been a significant increase in hostility towards Israelis and Jews around the world, focal point: protests, incitement and anti-Semitic incidents. In addition, there is an increase in the motivation of terrorist elements to harm Israelis/Jews wherever they are. In light of this, those staying in the country are advised to take increased precautions."

At Travel Warning Level 3, there is a long list of countries, some of which are very popular among Israeli tourists, including the United Arab Emirates, which is generally considered a very safe country for tourists and in general, but has been classified at Travel Warning Level 3. The NSC's recommendation at this level is to avoid non-essential travel. Alongside the UAE, the National Security Council website states: "The UAE is engaged in terrorist activity that poses a real risk to Israelis residing/visiting the country."

The most severe travel warning level is 4, which also includes Turkey, Jordan, Egypt and many other countries. The recommendation is not to come to the country and in case of staying there, it is necessary to leave the country as soon as possible. It is important to understand that according to the law, Israeli citizens are prohibited from flying to Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iraq and Lebanon.

The travel warnings do not apply to connection flights, but of course it is forbidden to carry out connection flights in enemy countries (Yemen, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria) and in high-threat countries such as Libya, Algeria, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Somalia.
