The commander of the Golani Brigade's 13th Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Tomer Greenberg, who fell in battle in the Sajaiya neighborhood of the Gaza Strip, held a motivational talk for the fighters before entering the Gaza Strip on the ground.
"Ten years from now, a heroic battalion commander will be a hero for the 13th Battalion, with heroic fighters, some of you will already be parents, some of you don't know where you will be. He will jump the battalion on Yom Kippur and tell about you and see pictures of our dead," Greenberg told the battalion soldiers.
Greenberg continued: "The heroism of the fallen soldiers of the 13th Battalion accompanies us in every step we take. They are with us, right with us. I feel that the 41 fighters of the 13th Battalion are covering us from above. The war will end with a huge victory and defeat for the enemy. Victory will come because of the boys and what they sacrificed."
"We are preparing for a ground incursion into the Gaza Strip," added the 13th Battalion commander. "With grueling training and self- and team processing, which will eventually prepare us to fight and win. This time, we are the ones who will surprise. We will arrive with strenuous concentration, with all the advanced capabilities and the high standard of the battalion, and we will be the ones who win."
In yesterday's horrific incident in Gaza, seven more soldiers were killed. Greenberg's funeral will be held today at 15 p.m. on Mount Herzl.

Last month, Lt. Col. Tomer Greenberg accompanied Yoav Limor on his journey deep into the Gaza Strip with the brigade's soldiers.
