A high number of passengers was recorded today (Thursday) at Ben Gurion Airport, with a record number of passengers passing through the airport since October 19. These are numbers that were last seen only two months ago, and may seem somewhat encouraging for the tourism industry.

The number of passengers at Ben Gurion Airport has declined significantly since the beginning of the fighting, but now it seems that there is a slight awakening trend that has been going on for several weeks. However, it is important to remember that this is a Hanukkah holiday and it may have a significant impact on the number of passengers that increased today, and in general this week compared to previous weeks. Last week, the NSC published the classification of countries by risk levels, with dozens of countries at risk level 1, the lowest. Among the countries in this classification level are Cyprus, Japan, Romania, the Czech Republic, the United States, most of Thailand, Mexico, Canada, Poland and many other countries.

At the same time, foreign airlines are showing signs of returning to Israel, with Ethiopian Airlines increasing the frequency of daily flights, Fly Dubai doubling to two flights a day, Air Europa announcing that it will return in early January and other airlines examining a gradual return as early as January.
