Shortly after learning of the accidental killing of the Israeli abductees in Sajaiya, a tweet battle took place between MK Tali Gottlieb (Likud) and MK Naama Lazimi (Labor).
Permitted for publication: Three abductees were accidentally shot by an IDF force in Sejaiya - and killed \\ IDF Spokesperson
Gottlieb criticized the publication of the incident with harsh words: "In the name of all names, why is the IDF Spokesperson at this time issuing such a sad and tragic announcement about the accidental killing of three abductees? How does this strengthen IDF soldiers? What purpose does it serve?
No purpose! But the cessation of hostilities soon, long before it has to end. Terrible," she wrote in X.
Lazimi went on the offensive, writing: "It's really a problem that the cowardly prime minister didn't do it. The man who a few weeks ago convened a casual statement on Friday evening and alarmed an entire country, but now evades his responsibility (as usual) and sends the IDF Spokesperson to deliver harsh news that must be reported. And? You will never recognize the moral standards that require a society with mutual responsibility, a desire for life, democratic and humane."

The dispute between the two takes place against the backdrop of a statement by IDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Daniel Hagari, in which he announced that three abductees had been killed in Sajaiya accidentally. Two of the three abductees whose names were permitted to be published are Yotam Haim and Samer Talaka. The incident is being investigated immediately. According to the IDF's assessment, the three fled or were abandoned.
