Israeli security forces, together with engineering fighters, demolished two homes tonight in the village of Urif in the Samaria Brigade that were involved in the attack at the Ali gas station last June. Four Israelis were murdered and others were wounded.

The attack is considered the worst the region has known in the past two years. The two terrorists arrived at the Ali gas station with their car, entered the Hummus Eliyahu restaurant in the compound and began a killing spree in which they murdered three. When they left the restaurant, they murdered another person, and then one of them was neutralized by an Israeli civilian who was also wounded in the exchange of fire.

The second terrorist fled the area towards Nablus, and his vehicle was found abandoned several kilometers from Tubas, with weapons inside. He was later apprehended by SWAT and Border Police forces, who shot and killed him during an escape attempt.
