Gospel choir Happy Souls inspires at the benefit concert in the Protestant church in Wartenberg
Wartenberg – The gospel choir Happy Souls under the direction of Verena Oberloher can hardly find a place in the Protestant church in Wartenberg, the home of the cheerful singers, who, as always, have brought in Edwin Karbaumer from Taufkirchen as percussionist for their benefit concert. Chairs still had to be brought in and set up in front of the actual worship room.
There were good reasons for the rush: The choir has developed mightily, has rearranged its program and presents such a range that the name gospel choir becomes an understatement.
Pop songs such as "Mary's Boy Child", but also a "Christmas wishes rap" are part of it. What's more, the choir was instrumentally strengthened with Theresa Hadersdorfer on harp and Julian Oberloher on trumpet, and he even joined in with solo interludes. The program for the Christmas season was further enriched by thematically appropriate texts.
The concert was designed as a benefit concert: The Circle of Friends of the Wartenberg Clinic is to be considered, whose deputy chairwoman Sigrid Brunner was given the opportunity to present the association and its charitable work for hospital patients. Fitting: As already reported, one of the main areas of work and also the biggest expenditure factors is the promotion of music therapy. And the beneficial effect of music was directly noticeable in this late afternoon and early evening with Christmas biscuits and mulled wine, which was served later.
The donation amount has not yet been determined.
