Not that we have expectations of winning or taking one of the top spots in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest, but it's always interesting to catch a glimpse of the spectacular spectacle of the world's biggest song contest. This time, as is known, the host country is a serial winner, which gave birth to ABBA, and its inhabitants are big fans of Eurovision. Therefore, it is to be expected that the show that will take place in Malmö, the port city in the south of the country, will be invested and spectacular.

Green Walls Designs, based in Stockholm, known for creating visually stunning experiences in music and live entertainment, has already made its mark on Eurovision, having worked on Lorin's winning performance in 2023. Frederick Stormby, co-founder, CEO and creative talent behind Green Wall Designs, has taken the reins as lighting and screen content designer for the upcoming competition. Working alongside production designer Florian Weider, Stormby is poised to deliver a huge show that will bring a global audience of over 160 million viewers to television.

Organizers gave a glimpse into the future with the release of official photos showing the stage design and lighting. Prepare yourself for a cross-shaped stage, strategically located in the heart of the action, creating what is described as a "unique 360-degree experience" for the crowd at the 15,500-seat Malmö Stadium. Portable LED cubes, LED floors and innovative stage technology ensure "big changes" in the hall, ensuring an ever-changing visual celebration. The stage is not just a backdrop; It is a living, breathing entity that will take viewers into a world of visual wonders.

According to a press release, the highlight of the design is a monumental installation - a dazzling display of video and light hanging above the stage. This work is also functional; It has been meticulously designed to empower artists and their performances, making each show a visually revolutionary spectacle.

Contrary to tradition, the stage will take center stage (literally), placing the audience at the forefront of the Eurovision experience. The design, which emphasizes inclusion, creates a connection between a live audience and a television audience like never before.

Stormby expressed his excitement, saying: "Green Wall Designs is proud to be working for the 68th Eurovision Song Contest. We are excited to deliver a spectacular show in our homeland and to audiences around the world."

While we wait for the big show on May 11, 2024, one thing is for sure: with a stage that breaks boundaries, moves with the rhythm and sweeps the audience into a 360-degree wonderland, Eurovision 2024 is about to redefine the visual language of the iconic contest. How the Swedish rock band Europe once said in the eighties, this is the final countdown! And it began.
