A notice of strike written by Adv. Eyal Yarin, chairman of the Transport Workers Union of the New Histadrut and sent to the Chief Supervisor of Labor Relations, stated: "Regarding the details of the dispute, the issue of the dispute is the employer's taking unilateral steps on the grounds of streamlining, and the demand of the workers' representatives to negotiate agreements regarding these steps and their implications for workers' working conditions and rights, as well as additional steps to the extent that they are taken on the grounds of streamlining."

It was also alleged that this was aggressive and unilateral conduct on the part of the employer's management with regard to the employees' working conditions, including canceling shifts for employees or changing shifts in a way that harms the employees' earning potential and welfare, harmful measures on employees' transportation, and more.

In addition, this is a large and unusual workload stemming, among other things, from the lack of manpower and the employer's actions as stated, which makes it very difficult for the employees to perform their work as required.
