In the Tel Aviv District Court, an indictment was filed against Yosef Haddad (22) from Holon, after he murdered Vasiko Origashvili z"l and tried to flee the country

According to the indictment, a little less than a month ago, in the evening, the late Origashvili was staying at his home in Holon with his friends. At around 21:00 P.M., the defendant Haddad, along with others, came and stood at the entrance to his house, they went to a nearby alley where Haddad stabbed Origashvili in the upper body. The stabber and his gang fled the scene with the help of a vehicle waiting for them nearby, while the injured Origashvili was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

A friend of Ormagashvili's who witnessed the incident said during interrogation: "His hand was in his pocket and then suddenly he took it out and put the knife in Origashvili's body."

Haddad, the suspected perpetrator, tried to flee the country a day after the incident but was arrested at border control at Ben Gurion Airport. During interrogation, he tied himself to the scene and admitted that he was there, but apart from saying that "I am innocent, I did not murder anyone," he maintained his right to remain silent.

In the arrest request, Attorney Tzachi Havadi of the State Prosecutor's Office noted that "the suspect's danger to public safety clearly increases from the acts attributed to him. Additional severity is learned from Haddad's behavior in fleeing the scene of the incident and from his attempt to flee the country shortly after the murder."
