They're all important. In some way, each of them has marked the news in 2023. For this reason, the program 23 of the 23rd (and 24th), which will be broadcast by the newspapers of Prisa Media this Thursday at eight o'clock in the evening, has ordered these protagonists almost chronologically. On January 1, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was sworn in as President of Brazil. A week later, Jair Bolsonaro's supporters took over the buildings of the three branches of government in Brasilia. Lula is the politician with whom the story of the 23 characters of the year begins. The program, which can also be seen on the television channel El País, delves into twelve of them through interviews and analysis with journalists from the newspaper, Cadena SER and Huffpost:

  • Xavi Sancho will talk about Shakira's year with Antonio Nieto. From her session with Bizarrap with which she started 2023 to her farewell to Spain after going through the courts accused of defrauding the Treasury.
  • Jacobo García will explain who Nayib Bukele is to Carol Mundi. He was the only journalist to have managed to interview the president of El Salvador. His crackdown on gangs has led to a 90% approval rating. He wants to be re-elected next year despite the fact that the country's constitution prevents him from doing so.
  • Martín Bianchi will remember the cover of Hola de Ana Obregón with Belén Fernández in which she presents the girl she has had for surrogacy with the semen of her deceased son. The actress has reopened the debate on this issue and also on the exposure of minors to the media.
  • Pepa Blanes will tell Carlos Córdoba why Francis Ford Coppola is the movie character of the year. The film that will be released next year is a work of years and a dream for the director.
  • Javier Salas will make a profile of Sam Altman, the founder of OpenAI, creator of ChatGPT, with Antonio Nieto. It has been the year of artificial intelligence, its possibilities and also its threats.
  • Mariela Rubio will discuss with Carlos Córdoba what we can expect from Alberto Núñez Feijóo in 2024. After caressing the Moncloa Palace, Feijóo faces the year as leader of the opposition and consolidated as president of the PP.
  • Nadia Tronchoni will highlight the victory of the Spanish national football team with Carol Mundi. Luis Rubiales' kiss to Jenni Hermoso has changed women's sport forever, opening the debate on a level playing field for all professional players, regardless of gender.
  • Javier Escartín will talk about the role of Carles Puigdemont with Eva Baroja. The former Catalan president has returned to the political front line. The seven deputies of Junts have been key to achieving the investiture of Pedro Sánchez. In 2024 it is more than likely that he will be able to return to Spain pardoned.
  • Andrea Rizzi discusses what will become of Benjamin Netanyahu next year. The war in Gaza has not stopped domestic criticism against the Israeli prime minister, for whom 2024 could be the year of his resignation.
  • Luz Sánchez Mellado reviews the figure of Leonor with Belén Fernández. The eldest daughter of the King and Queen has begun her military training, sworn to the Constitution and begins to have an official agenda.
  • Carlos E. Cué sums up Pedro Sánchez's year with Belén Fernández. The regional and municipal elections of 28 May precipitated the early general elections. Against all predictions of most polls, Pedro Sánchez ends the year as President of the Government.
  • Federico Molina explains the Argentina that comes with Javier Milei in conversation with Héctor Guerrero. He comes to power backed by the majority of Argentines. His agenda of change heralds hard times for the country, although Milei assures that it is the only way out.
