The IDF Spokesperson's Office on Thursday morning allowed the publication of the names of three IDF soldiers who fell in battle in the Gaza Strip, and their families were notified. Two of the fallen were killed in the same battle in the northern Gaza Strip.
Sergeant Lavi Gisi, 19, from Hashmona'im, a soldier in the 931st Battalion, Nahal Brigade, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip as a result of an anti-tank missile hitting the house where the force was staying.

Lieutenant Yaakov Ilian, 20, from Ramat Gan, a cadet in the Gefen Battalion, the officers' school, served as a squad commander at Givati Hospital, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip in clashes with terrorists. Lieutenant Elian is a member of the religious queen high school AMIT Bar-Ilan Gush Dan in Ramat Gan.

Lieutenant Omri Schwartz, 21, from Shadmot Dvora, a cadet in the Gefen Battalion, the officers' school, served as a soldier in a paratrooper patrol, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip in an encounter with terrorists. Omri grew up in the moshav Shadmot Dvora and is a scion of the moshav's founders. In his youth, Omri was active in the Bnei Moshavim movement, and spent a year of service on Kibbutz Be'eri. On the morning of October 7, Omri fought in kibbutzim and saved the lives of many.

In addition, the IDF allowed the publication to report that eight soldiers were seriously wounded in battle in the Gaza Strip. In the battle in which Lieutenant Omri Schwartz and Lieutenant Ilian Yaakov fell, an officer and two cadets from the Gefen Battalion - the Officers' School were severely wounded. Two fighters in the 50th Battalion, the Nahal Brigade, were seriously wounded in battle in the Gaza Strip as a result of an IED explosion. A reserve soldier in the Oketz unit, the Marom Brigade, was severely wounded in battle in the Gaza Strip during a clash with the force. An armored officer in the 532nd Battalion, 460th Brigade was seriously wounded in battle in the northern Gaza Strip during clashes with terrorists. An armored soldier in reserve in Battalion 9218, the Kiryati Brigade (4), was severely wounded in battle in the southern Gaza Strip. The wounded were evacuated for medical treatment and their families were updated.
