An Austrian wanted to enjoy a nice evening in an Italian restaurant with his wife. The bill eventually angered him.
Vienna – Little time to cook for yourself, special occasions, a bit of holiday feeling: there are plenty of reasons to visit a restaurant. It is all the more annoying when the food is not satisfactory. But it's not just the cooking skills that can be complained about by customers, the bill also leaves some annoyed. Most recently, a Facebook user was astonished by a receipt from 1988. A restaurant visitor in Austria was annoyed by the price he found on his bill.
Price on pizza bill infuriates restaurant customers: "Really brazen"
Actually, the Austrian probably didn't have anything negative to say about the pizzeria. But an extra portion of rocket for his pizza spoiled his evening afterwards. This is according to a report by heute.at. The food was apparently good, only the price left much to be desired. Because the restaurant charged a surcharge for the arugula salad. "But what we experienced that evening was really brazen," the Austrian newspaper quoted the angry customer as saying.

The extra ingredient cost him an additional amount of 3.20 euros. The pizza (topped with raw ham, tomatoes and Parmesan) was "quite expensive anyway" with a price of 15.90 euros.
"The whole thing is going in the direction of rip-off," he accused the restaurant owner. Because: "The high surcharge is not noted on the card either," he added. Whether the waiter gave a hint when placing the order remains open. In the end, the pizza cost the customer just over 19 euros.

Apparently, the Austrian and his wife are not planning another visit to the restaurant. The restaurant, which was not named, did not initially comment, according to heute.at.
