Four adults and a child died on Saturday when the small plane in which they were traveling crashed in a residential neighborhood in the municipality of Jaboticabal, in the interior of the Brazilian state of São Paulo.
The crash of the "single-engine" aircraft took place on an avenue in Jaboticabal at around 9 a.m. (local time), according to the Fire Department on social media.
The aircraft, manufactured in 2012 and with all the papers in order to fly, fell from the sky and, after hitting the ground, caught fire, according to the firefighting corps.
Brazilian authorities found the five fatalities "charred."

The police went to the scene to clarify the causes of the accident. The preliminary investigation indicates that the plane exceeded the maximum permitted passenger capacity for that model.
Images shared by the media and on social networks showed the destruction and flames in the rain.
Jaboticabal is located about 350 kilometers from São Paulo, Brazil's most populous city and capital of the state of the same name, which is the richest and most industrialized in the country.
