Muhammad Sa'id Atallah, a 24-year-old dentist from the village of Ilut near Nazareth, was killed Sunday evening in a shooting incident that took place on the road connecting Nazareth and Ilut. As a result of the shooting, two men were wounded - the fatality, who was critically wounded and later pronounced dead, and his 28-year-old brother, who was evacuated in moderate to serious condition by an MDA team to the English Hospital in Nazareth.
Last week, brothers Izz (21) and Hamid al-Rishq (31) from East Jerusalem were shot dead in the community of Anata. Yusef (16), another brother in the family, was murdered in a shooting earlier this year. Tonight, between Saturday and Sunday, shortly after midnight, Bashar Zar'ini (23) from Tur'an was murdered in Tiberias. In the morning, Mahmoud Maslamani (41) was shot dead in the village.

Following the incident, the Abraham Initiatives organization published crime figures in the Arab sector: 242 Arabs lost their lives in 2023 in circumstances related to violence and crime, of whom 230 were civilians, and 12 were non-citizens. In the same period last year, there were 115 victims.
According to the organization, 217 of the victims in 2023 were shot to death, 116 of whom were under the age of 30, including 16 women.
