A 52-year-old man shot his partner in the neck and his brother-in-law in the head: he was arrested as he tried to escape. It happened during the night of this Saturday in Mar del Plata, where witnesses say that there were at least six detonations. In the last few hours, it was learned that the murderer refused to testify before the prosecutor's office and will continue to be detained.
The violent femicide took place in a house in the Belgrano neighborhood, located on 11.100 Rosales Street, in the southwestern corner of the seaside city, where personnel from the 11th Precinct intervened, after a 911 call.
The 0223 site confirmed that after 20 p.m., Víctor Figueroa and Rosana Coronel (46) arrived drunk at the house in a gray Volkswagen Suran. The man played loud music, the woman told him to turn it down. That was the beginning of the end.
A heated argument broke out in the couple. Insults, threats, shouting, dominated the scene. Until Marcelo (44), Rosana's brother, wanted to intercede. There, Figueroa lost control, pulled out a gun he had in his waistband and began shooting.
After the shooting, the Coronel brothers were taken to the Interzonal General Acute Hospital (HIGA) where minutes later they lost their lives from the bullet wounds they received. The woman had wounds to her neck, while her brother was wounded in the head.
Meanwhile, Figueroa was detained by police when he tried to escape in the car. He was intercepted on 11.400 Magallanes Street and lodged in Penal Unit 44 of Batán. Inside the car, police seized a .38-caliber revolver believed to have been used in the double murder.

The case of the double crime is now being investigated by prosecutor Romina Díaz, head of the Functional Unit of Instruction 6, who tried to take testimony from Figueroa, but the detainee refused to testify.

"He put music to everything he gives and then he hit my mom; My uncle wanted to defend her and then he pulled out his gun and killed them both. My sisters were inside the house. 6 shots were heard," confirmed Anabela, Rosana's eldest daughter.
"This killer left my 11- and 15-year-old sisters without a mom. She was a good, hard-working woman," he described. And he added in a chat with the Mar del Plata site: "We knew it was violent, but we never imagined something like this. Now we ask that justice be done for my mother and my uncle and that, at the very least, they give him life in prison. Let justice be done, because what he did has no name," he added in a tone of anger and impotence.
In this regard, investigative sources confirmed that the accused has a criminal record for the crimes of "sexual abuse" and "concealment".
