Two residents of the center were charged Sunday with involvement in stealing vehicles belonging to families evacuated from the surrounding communities, as well as those killed in the October 7 massacre. According to the indictment, the two operated under the guise of volunteers who came to the combat zone, where they tried to steal the vehicles and transfer them to the Palestinian Authority.

According to the indictment, the two men, residents of Holon and Moshav Barkat, in their 30s and 40s, operated under the guise of volunteers as part of an activity aimed at assisting soldiers and civilians in various logistical missions, which included, inter alia, transferring equipment and towing terrorist vehicles that remained in the area of the surrounding communities.

During this activity, the two tried to steal vehicles that remained in the area of Kibbutz Be'eri and transfer them to the Palestinian Authority, taking advantage of their activity in the area and taking advantage of the access they were given to enter a closed military zone. The two were even assisted for this purpose by other volunteers who acted without knowledge of their intentions.
