Another significant area in which the firm plans is extensive rehabilitation activities, including the treatment of contaminated materials and contaminated soil in the area. In this regard, the Ministry has already approved a budget of NIS 30 million, while the final budget required for this activity stands at NIS <> million, which the Ministry plans to obtain and invest in the field in the future. The ministry will also lead the process of removing the rubble in the area, and together with this removal will remove many waste hazards, some of which were created as a result of the war.

Another area that the Ministry of Environmental Protection will deal with is the rehabilitation of the city of Sderot with an emphasis on the development of courtyards and 120 entrances to housing complexes in the city, including the construction of a solar roof, roof insulation, regulation of lighting, replacement of malfunctioning solar panels, community activities and more. There will also be a major shading operation in the city by planting mature trees on central streets.

The Ministry will work to rehabilitate the various nature reserves and promenades in the area that were damaged in the war and will deal with all issues related to the various waste in the area in order to ensure that no more waste will be buried in the area.

Minister of Environmental Protection Idit Silman said regarding the plan, "As a result of the fighting, various environmental hazards have been created in the Takuma region, such as waste piles, damaged asbestos roofs, soil destruction as a result of the movement of tools, and more. The Ministry of Environmental Protection will promote rapid rehabilitation of all environmental hazards, in order to ensure the safe return of residents. We will grow new hope out of the ruins, for the residents, the people of the beautiful Land of Israel who are connected to nature and the land."
