Residents of the community of Bat Hefer recently complained about the noise of excavations, fearing tunnels in the area near Tulkarem. A security source said on Monday: "The security forces take seriously and listen to the residents' reports, during the recent period a number of inspections have been carried out in the area in cooperation with council officials, and the matter is being monitored continuously."

The security source added: "We are working to thwart terrorism on a daily basis in Palestinian towns and villages. Over the past few months, Israeli security forces have acted dozens of times to thwart terrorism in the villages adjacent to the Menashe Brigade barrier. During the activities, wanted persons were arrested and many buildings and spaces were searched, this activity will continue. Since the beginning of the war, there has been a significant decrease in shooting attacks in the area of the seam settlements in Menashe."
