An indictment was filed in the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court against two cousins, aged 29 and 30, on suspicion of assaulting the father of the fiancée of one of them, after the latter decided to cancel his daughter's engagement. According to the indictment, last Tuesday, two suspects from Jaffa, one of them the fiancée's spouse, came to the business of the fiancée's father and attacked him with fists, pepper spraying him.
At noon, the suspect came with his cousin to the victim's business in Jaffa and called him out, during the conversation between the suspects and the victim, the suspects punched the victim in the face and pepper-sprayed him, threatening him that if he did not let the suspect marry his daughter, they would take away his business and not leave him alone.

As soon as the incident was received, Jaffa Police Station officers opened an investigation, during which they located and arrested the two suspects near the incident. As stated, the suspects were arrested and taken for interrogation at the Jaffa station, on suspicion of assault and actual sabotage and threats. The suspects' detention was extended and yesterday the prosecution branch of the Tel Aviv District filed an indictment against them and a request for detention until the end of the proceedings.
