It was around 16:30 p.m. that the emergency services were alerted to help the victim, who was discovered in his vehicle parked on the edge of the Cergy-Vauréal golf course. At the scene, the fire brigade took care of the injured man, who was conscious when they arrived, and provided him with first aid. According to our information, he had seven stab wounds. He was stabbed twice in the torso or abdomen, causing a pneumothorax. He also had 5 wounds on his arms, probably while performing defensive gestures. The 58-year-old man was transported under police escort to the Georges-Pompidou hospital in Paris (<>th).
A witness saw a man fleeing
As the victim was unable to express herself with difficulty, investigators were unable to interview her to determine the precise circumstances of the attack. The Cergy police officers, who are in charge of the investigation at this stage, have made the initial findings on the spot and collected some testimonies. Among them is that of a person who allegedly saw a man flee at the time of the incident.
The hypothesis of a rendezvous that goes wrong in this very discreet and quiet alley of Courdimanche, or of an ambush, was evoked in the evening. If this possibility is confirmed, it is reminiscent of the recent Montmagny affair at the beginning of December. A man in his thirties had gone on a date on a dating site and was assaulted by three men. They had ambushed him in an attempt to rob him. He had defended himself with a knife, killing one of his attackers. He has since been charged with murder and imprisoned.
