An East Jerusalem resident was arrested on Tuesday after he was filmed inserting water into the electric closet in a new apartment in Rosh HaAyin, on suspicion of sabotaging the new apartment where he apparently worked.
Rosh HaAyin station investigators opened an investigation following the video that went viral, in which the suspect – a 41-year-old resident of Qalandiya village in north Jerusalem – filmed himself pointing a hose at the electrical closet in the new apartment, inserting water into it, and laughing. At the end of the accelerated investigation that was opened at the police station, the police officers arrested the suspect for questioning, at the end of which he was imprisoned.
In accordance with the findings of the investigation and its needs, the police intend to bring the suspect to court tomorrow for a hearing on a request to extend his detention.
