During the descent from the Soinsee, a hiker (65) got shortness of breath on Monday evening. The mountain rescue service requested a rescue helicopter.
Bayrischzell – According to the Leitzachtal mountain rescue service, the alarm was received on Monday around 16 p.m. via the Rosenheim rescue coordination center. A hiker complained of shortness of breath and pain in her upper body during the descent from the Soinsee. Due to the alarm and the impending darkness, the incident commander requested a rescue helicopter, parallel to the ongoing rescue measures on the ground.
Helicopter drops mountain rescuers by winch
The Christoph 1 helicopter from Munich was available and picked up an air rescuer at the valley station of the Wendelsteinbahn. Since the woman's companions drew attention to themselves with light signals, the scene of the incident was quickly located. According to the mountain rescue service, the medical crew and the air rescuer were dropped off by winch, at the same time the mountain rescue vehicle reached the scene. After first aid, the 65-year-old from the Tölz area was transported by mountain rescue vehicle to the helicopter that had landed at the valley station of the Wendelsteinbahn. He took care of the rest of the transport to the clinic. After about two hours, the operation was over for the seven emergency personnel of the Leitzachtal mountain rescue service.
