Defense Minister Yoav Galant visited the Ramat David Air Force Base on Thursday. During the visit, the minister implicitly criticized remarks made by former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett in an article in The Wall Street Journal. "I just finished a visit to Ramat David Air Force Base. I am full of appreciation for the performance of the Air Force, for the fighters in the air and on the ground, for the cooperation between them, and between them and the forces on the ground," Galant said, adding: "The Air Force's action in all sectors is very impressive, and it is fitting that the thunder of the planes silence the unnecessary talk, and allow the IDF forces to carry out their mission quietly and safely."
In an article in the Wall Street Journal, Bennett criticized Israel's policy toward Iran. In an article titled "The U.S. and Israel Must Deal Directly with Iran," Bennett wrote that he had instructed the defense establishment to attack after the regime in Tehran launched two unsuccessful drone attacks on Israel in February 2022.
Following criticism of his remarks, Bennett said: "The problem with Iran is not the publicity of the moves we carried out against it that have already become known in the past, but that Iran is kidnapping us through Hamas and Hezbollah and even the Houthis, and the governments of the past decade have been speaking and speaking – but not exacting a painful price from Iran's leaders."

Galant also said that the fighting in Gaza is expected to continue for a long time, "until the goals are achieved. It is now concentrated in the Khan Yunis area. The achievements are precise and impressive, and the results are not long in coming."
