An argument that erupted following the unloading of merchandise near a supermarket in Givatayim led last Thursday to the stabbing of the merchandise carrier by a supermarket employee. On Monday, an indictment was filed against the perpetrator, a 28-year-old resident of Ramat Gan, and a request for detention until the end of the proceedings.
On Thursday afternoon, the police received a report of a man who had been attacked and stabbed by a supermarket worker at the corner of Katzenelson Street and Ben Gurion Street in Givatayim. Givatayim police arrived at the scene and after several actions located the suspect at his home in Ramat Gan and detained him for interrogation.

The investigation revealed that the victim came to unload goods to the health fund in the supermarket's parking lot, while the suspect worked there as an usher. During the unloading of merchandise, an argument broke out between the suspect and the victim, who was placing merchandise which, according to the suspect, interfered with his work. At one point, the suspect pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the unloader in the waist and left. The victim, who sustained minor to moderate injuries, was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
At the conclusion of the investigation, the prosecution unit of the Tel Aviv District Police filed an indictment yesterday against the suspect for an offense of wounding while the offender is armed, as well as a request for detention until the end of the proceedings.
